Strengthen Faculty Resilience, Communication, and Leadership in PA Programs

Emotional intelligence workshops designed specifically for physician assistant faculty and program leaders navigating the real pressures of PA education.

PA faculty operate in one of the most emotionally demanding environments in higher education. Between accreditation expectations, student support responsibilities, and the constant pace of academic work, emotional load can quietly accumulate across a program.

Strive365 workshops help PA faculty and leadership teams build the emotional intelligence skills needed to lead effectively, communicate clearly, and sustain resilience in the work of PA education.

The Emotional Load of PA Education Is Real

Anyone who has worked in PA education understands that the role of faculty extends far beyond teaching.

Faculty and program leaders routinely balance:

  • accreditation standards and site visit preparation
  • high-stakes student progression decisions
  • emotionally complex student situations
  • interpersonal dynamics within faculty teams
  • pressure to maintain program outcomes and reputation

Over time, these demands can lead to:

  • faculty burnout
  • communication breakdowns
  • tension within leadership teams
  • difficulty navigating difficult conversations

These challenges rarely stem from lack of dedication. They stem from the emotional demands of the work itself.

Technical Expertise Isn't The Challenge - Emotional Intelligence Is

PA faculty are highly trained professionals. Yet the most difficult challenges in academic programs often involve:

  • managing emotionally charged conversations
  • navigating faculty disagreements
  • supporting struggling students
  • leading teams through stress and uncertainty

Emotional intelligence provides the skills needed to navigate these situations effectively. These skills influence how individuals:

  • respond to pressure
  • communicate with colleagues
  • build trust within teams
  • lead during challenging situations

Developing emotional intelligence helps faculty and leaders show up with greater awareness, resilience, and effectiveness.

Workshops Built Around the EQ-i 2.0 Assessment

Strive365 workshops are built around the EQ-i 2.0 Emotional Intelligence Assessment, one of the most widely used and scientifically validated emotional intelligence assessments available.

Each participant receives a personalized report measuring key emotional intelligence skills related to:

  • self-awareness
  • emotional expression
  • interpersonal relationships
  • decision-making
  • stress management

Participants gain insight into how their emotional intelligence influences the way they lead, collaborate, and respond to stress within their professional role.

These insights form the foundation for the workshop experience.
